NSW Feed-in-Tariff could be doubled

The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal’s (IPART) has recommended to double the feed-in tariff for NSW solar homes. This recommendation has been overwhelmingly welcomed by residential solar stakeholders in the state.

In its latest draft review for 2017-18, the IPART suggested raising the benchmark for solar feed-in tariffs from $0.06 to $0.08 per kWh to around $0.13 cents per kWh. Residential houses with solar electricity system installed will greatly benefit from the increase in the benchmark.
